Kayaking Checklist

Kayaking Checklist

A comprehensive list on what to pack (and what to not forget) when planning your next paddling trip.

Paddling brings a different level of freedom, and many paddlers have been able to find that joy during the pandemic by engaging in the ultimate social distancing activity. Many paddlers are extending their boundaries with longer day trips, or overnight excursions.

The great thing about paddling is that you can afford to pack in some extra luxuries that you might otherwise leave behind on a backpacking trip. Whether you're planning a river run of the Restigouche, or a solo island overnight at Spednic, this checklist will make sure you have the essentials for the best (and worst) conditions. Be sure to also read our camping checklist to be sure that you don't leave anything behind on your overnight excursions.
